The Optician works closely with patients to ensure they have a seamless experience with their eyewear needs after seeing the doctor, whether it's helping the patient select the perfect pair of glasses, sunglasses, or contact lens.
Job
Responsibilities:
Providing high quality patient care throughout the patients entire office visit.
Perform routine administrative and clinical tasks in support to the doctors, and office staff.
(IE.
checking in glasses and contact lenses, scheduling referral appointments.
Assist in answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments for multiple doctors.
Helps patients with the selection of eyewear, and prescription lenses/ contact lenses based of needs.
Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of of office and all exam/testing rooms.
(regular cleaning and sanitizing is required)
Qualifications:
Previous optical experience preferred, but not required.
Previous office/administrative experience is preferred, but not required.
Strong customer service and phone skills.
Willing to learn ocular terminology, abbreviations, and optical knowledge.
Excellent multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills.
Pays great attention to detail.
