Senior Buyer

ITS has a client in the Toledo, OH area seeking a Senior Buyer. This is a direct hire position with full benefits including 401k.


About the Role


The Senior Buyer is responsible to ensure that the Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.


Responsibilities


Work directly with the Purchasing Manager to strategically manage the purchasing needs for the division.
Work directly with the Purchasing Manager and Purchasing team to help develop strategic relationships with national and international vendors/suppliers to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded, where possible.
Ensure all purchasing objectives are met and escalate all purchasing issues vital to production in a timely manner to the Purchasing Manager and Senior Leadership team.
Identify and continuously implement cost savings initiatives.
Assure that customer goals, specifications and requirements for new projects are met.
Document, control, and support all IATF 16949 audit activities relative to the Purchasing function.


Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree (4-year degree), Purchasing Certification Certificate of C.P.M. and/or CPSM as issued by the Institute of Supply Management (ISM).
5-8 years of purchasing experience and/or displayed knowledge & positive performance in Automotive Industry based commodities, products and or services.


Intermediate proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages.
Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and or governmental regulations.
Proficient understanding of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Standard Costing Techniques.
Specification and Problem definition, data collection, fact determination, drawing valid conclusions, and formulating clear recommendations.
Quick interpretation and formulation of argument, counter opinion, and factual statement for negotiation conclusion.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
