Take your experience to a better placeTax professionals will supervise engagements and assume full responsibility for tax compliance and various projects relative to assigned client engagements including preparation and/or review of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns; tax research and preparation of client memorandum, and preparation of quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments.
This position will work with commercial clients in a wide variety of industries; clients include large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients.
Position Accountabilities:
Supervise and coordinate activities of tax staffProvide thorough and effective in review of staff work product while providing constructive feedback and identifying staff developmental needsMake recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gain increasing responsibility in review processDevelops appropriate budgets and manages actual time in relation to the budgetsParticipate in client engagements from the beginning to completion, this includes planning, executing, and completing tax projectsWork with client management and staff at all levels to perform tax servicesPlanning income tax items for budgeting and cash flowMonitoring the effective tax rate, as well as quarterly and annual SEC financial statement tax related disclosuresPrepare or review returns for individual, trust, partnership, corporate and foreign tax clients, including federal, foreign, state and local tax returns, estimated payments and extensions, and Federal and State tax auditsResearch and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax mattersRespond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authoritiesMaintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfactionProactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related issues, and make recommendations for business and process improvementsWork to gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagementsMaintain and continue developing relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activitiesAttend professional development and training sessions on a regular basisDevelop client presentations and participate in selling opportunitiesOther duties as assignedEducation:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
150 credit hours or Masters in Accounting or Taxation is required.
CPA required.
Experience:
2-4 years recent tax experience in public accounting, specialization with clients in a particular industry is helpful but not requiredMust be able to remain in a stationary sitting position for at 50% of the time.
Person in position needs to occasionally move about the inside of the office to access machinery, cabinets, etc.
Person in position frequently communicates with staff who have inquires.
Must be able to exchange information in these situations.
Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Qualifications:
The skills, knowledge and abilities that are desirable in a candidate that would enable an individual to excel in this position include:
Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, consolidated federal tax returns, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns.

Qualified individuals must either reside in or near Toledo, or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity.
LIMITED travel is required with this position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
