Word Processor

NAMSA has breadth and depth in consulting, non-clinical and clinical services with expertise in cardiovascular, orthopedic, ocular, neurologic, gastroenterologic, urologic, combination product and related medical devices. For more than 50 years, NAMSA clients utilize its testing and consulting services to bring safe and effective products to market.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Types, proofreads, and corrects reports.
Prioritizes workload to meet due dates, including STAT reports and special requests.
Creates CDs of images and formats digital pictures.
Assesses raw data and translates into report form.
May develop templates for some special testing.
May perform calculation verification.
Works with QA and Document Control as needed.
May provide backup for other positions such as other department Word Processors or Administrative Assistants.
Other duties as assigned.
Senior Word Processor
In addition to the items listed above:
Ensures final reports meet the requirements of the protocols and applicable regulations.
Assesses raw data and translates into a report form based on the type of data collected.
Develops reports for special testing as required.
Runs statistical programs for data analysis.
Mentors and trains other Word Processors.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in business, science, or related discipline preferred.
2 to 3 years of related experience.
Accurate typing/data entry skills; minimum 60 wpm.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access.
Knowledge of AdobePro Photoshop preferred.
Good command of English grammar, vocabulary, spelling both verbal and written communications.
Fluency in English is preferred.
Senior Word Processor
Associates degree in business, science or related discipline required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
2-3 years of scientific reporting experience required, technical writing experience preferred.
Technical Competencies
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
